DANIEL BURRUS Daniel Burrus is one of the
world's leading technology forecasters and business strategists, and is the author of six books, including
the highly acclaimed Technotrends, which has been translated into over a dozen languages. He is the founder
and CEO of Burrus Research, a research and consulting firm that monitors global advancements in technology
driven trends to help clients better understand how technological, social, and business forces are converging

Americas top three business "gurus" in the highest demand as a speaker.
In 1983, Burrus became the first
and only futurist to accurately identify the twenty technologies that would become the driving force of

Peter Lee | Chief Executive Officer
and Founder Prior to founding DataSynapse, Peter served as an investment banker at J.P. Morgan & Co.
Peter has worked on a wide range of capital markets and investment banking transactions based in New York,
Tokyo, and Hong Kong. Peter holds a joint MBA/MA degree from The Wharton School/Lauder Institute at the
University of Pennsylvania in Entrepreneurial Management/International Affairs, and earned an AB in
Government, cum laude, from Harvard University.

Jamie Bernardin | President and
Founder Jamie oversees the product, marketing, customer support, and technology functions at
DataSynapse. Prior to founding DataSynapse, Jamie built a number of widely distributed and scalable systems
at Barclays Global Investors, Risk Management Technologies, and Bank of America. Jamie originally entered
the finance space as a quantitative analyst building models and algorithms for use in derivatives trading
systems, credit and market risk reporting systems, and asset-liability applications. In 2006 Jamie was
recognized as one of American Ventures 40 under 40 in technology and in 2007 Jamie received the top 25
CTO award by CIO magazine. Before joining Bank of America, Jamie worked as a NASA Research Fellow
conducting laser physics and numerical modeling research. Jamie attended Brown University where he earned
a PhD in Engineering Physics, an MS degree in Electrical Engineering, and separate BS degrees in Engineering
Physics and Applied Mathematics.

Matt Barrington | Wachovia – Senior Vice President & Director, Internet Services
Matt leads the Internet Technologies and Services group at Wachovia Corporation.
He oversees the strategy and execution of their utility Internet services which power Wachovia’s number one
rated website. Prior to joining Wachovia, Matt worked for a global management consulting firm and led the
design, development and implementation of several enabling technology efforts across multiple industry segments.
Matt began his career at a software company spin-off from AT&T Bell Labs, developing products and custom
application solutions for a variety of government agencies, military branches and private sector companies.
He specializes in creating business-driven, high-volume, cross-enterprise IT solutions, has 15 years experience
in eCommerce and his previous clients include; JPMorgan Chase, The New York Stock Exchange, Ford, General Motors,
Comerica Bank, National Institute of Health (NIH), KMart, U.S. Marine Corps, and Cardinal Health.

Tony Bishop | Adaptivity – Chief Executive Officer
As Chairman and CEO, Tony leads the team and provides hands-on coaching, thought
leadership and executive strategy support for Adaptivity’s key clients and partners. He is an innovative IT
executive, with an excellent track record in strategy, design, and the implementation of business-aligned
enterprise technology platforms across large organizations. He most recently served as SVP and Chief Architect
of Wachovia's Corporate Investment Banking Technology Group, where his team designed, built, and implemented a
leading-edge service-oriented architecture and utility computing infrastructure.
Tony and the Adaptivity team have been recognized by the industry with awards from InfoWorld,
ComputerWorld, NetworkWorld, Waters, and Wall Street & Technology, among others, for their efforts in building
world-class technology to differentiate their business. He has 20 years working as a user and as a supplier in
various design, strategy, and architecture roles across multiple industries.

Dana Gertsch | Zunesis
Dana’s 23 years of experience spans the datacenter, from
computing infrastructure to networking to software solutions and tools.
He is a certified VMware, Redhat, Cisco, and Microsoft professional, and holds
various other key technical certifications as well as having taught certification
courses in these areas. Capitalizing on his range of certifications and experience,
Dana has designed and built integrated, automated solutions, including online
training and demo’ing of lab scheduling and security systems, and most recently
his work in developing Utility Cubes for Visa, into which Data Synapse will be
integrated. Visa’s utility cubes will enable end-user provisioning and chargeback
for datacenter hardware and software in concert with Visa’s Real Time Infrastructure
strategic initiative, on a pay-per-use basis. Data Synapse is instrumental in
delivering a more feature-rich, faster time-to-provisioning, and less expensive –an
engineer’s dream of “better, faster, cheaper” – relative to original plans for
the Cube before Data Synapse

Ron Gidron | OpTier - Director, Product Marketing
With over nine years experience in application and datacenter
management, Ron Gidron currently heads up the product marketing initiatives at OpTier.
Ron has an extensive background in software and sales engineering and experience working
on global projects across the telecommunication and financial services industries.
Ron is a veteran in the enterprise software space and has an 11 year track record with
Fortune 500 corporations and companies such as HP/Mercury. Prior to Joining OpTier,
Ron headed up a team of product managers focused on go-to-market strategy and business
development for Symantec's Datacenter Management group., Symantec(VERITAS).

Andrew Kloster | Allianz Life – Capability Manager, Actuarial Solutions
Andrew manages the development and implementation of financial
models along with maintaining the technical systems which support Allianz Life
actuarial systems. Prior to taking a management role with the Actuarial Solutions
team, Andrew was a member of the data services team and played key roles in several
large projects for Allianz Life including datawarehousing, new business aquisition,
and actuarial valuation. Andrew holds a BS degree in environmental science from
Western Washington University and has a masters degree in Software Systems from
St. Thomas University.

William Lee |
State Street Bank and Trust - Vice-President William Lee is the chief
architect and integrator for the Basel II Technology Group of State Street Bank and Trust,
where was responsible for implementing their market risk system using Algorithmics and
DataSynapse. He is also a leading evangelist for grid implementations in the bank, working
with other groups to help them implement grid solutions and teaching grid programming
classes.
Mr. Lee has over thirty years of computing experience and has been interested in
high performance computing since high school, where he had access to a Control Data Cyber
70 supercomputer. Following college, Mr. Lee spent ten years as an analyst for the
Department of Defense, where he wrote parallelized signal processing programs for
supercomputers and mini-supercomputers such as the Control Data 7600, Cray-2, Cray-XMP,
Cray-YMP, and the Convex C-1.
Mr. Lee has been a founder and managing director in a customer
relationship management consulting firm, where he specialized in implementing one-to-one
marketing systems and systems integration. He has also worked in such varied areas as risk
management, information security, systems integration and web applications. Mr. Lee has a
B.A. in Physics and Astronomy from Cornell University.

Shawn Mesri | Qualcomm – Senior IT Architect
As the Program Manager and Real Time Infrastructure architect at Qualcomm, Shawn
has developed the vision, strategy, and architecture of a turnkey application execution platform
delivered as an end-to-end service. This initiative will enable IT to transition into a Service
Oriented Utility Hosting provider delivering “as needed – when needed” performance, capacity and
agility. Prior to joining Qualcomm, Shawn had worked for Intuit where he architected an Enterprise
Integration Backbone for implementation of company’s SOA strategy. As the Chief Enterprise Architect
at Experian, Shawn has been responsible for architecture and implementation of number of key strategic
Business and IT initiatives. Shawn is a seasoned lecturer with number of academic and professional
institutions and has been teaching and training on variety of IT courses for the past 22 years.
Shawn attended New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology where he earned a MS degree in
Computer Science. He also holds a BS degree in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics from
University of Ferdowsi in Iran.

Michael Oltman | Bank of America - Vice President, Global Markets Technology
Michael manages several technology teams for the Advantage
project, an OTC Derivatives Trading and Risk platform. He is also the architect
of the Risk Pipeline Platform, a large distributed pipeline computing platform which
computes and publishes over 300 million calculations for over 3000 risk execution requests
per 24 hours.
Michael is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Computer
Engineering. He has 12 years experience in architecting and developing enterprise and
distributed applications for retail, travel, QSR, and financial corporations. He has been
using DataSynapse for over 5 years.

Cameron Purdy | Oracle – Vice President, Development
Cameron Purdy is Vice President of Development at Oracle. Prior
to joining Oracle, Mr. Purdy was the CEO of Tangosol, whose revolutionary
Coherence Data Grid product provides reliable and scalable data management
across the enterprise. Mr. Purdy has over ten years of experience with Java™
and Java-related technology. As a software visionary and industry leader, Mr.
Purdy is a frequent presenter at industry conferences and has received a number
of awards in recognition of his contribution to the Java community, including
twice being named as a JavaOne RockStar and being recognized in TheServerSide’s
“Who’s Who in Enterprise Java”. He regularly participates in industry standards
development and is a specification lead for the Java Community Process.
